OK i hope someone can help me with this. At home i have a Computer running XP Pro on the Linksys BEFVP41 router. Now i want to connect to home from work with my Laptop running Windows ME, I hoping in the next couple of weeks to be getting a new laptop and be running XP Pro as well. At work they use a Linksys EAFH16W Hub and WAP11 Access Point. I use the Access point to get acess the internet. Im a DJ so i want to be able to acess my music files to burn or play at any time so i dont have to lug my External drive around all the time. Is thier anyway to set up a VPN to my Home Computer running XP Pro that on the BEFVP41 Router from the WAP11 Access Point at work, or is their a easier way around all that to dial into my network at home. At home i might add im on a dynamic IP which is about to change if needed to a Static IP to make this work if i need to. At work they use a Static IP if any of this helps any. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK thanks, but this doesnt tell me much on how to set up a VPN through the WAP11 Access Point to my Home Computer on the BEFVP41.

hello comrades'

i am tryin to setup a vpn connection from a win2k pro pc to a win xp pro pc. I successfully made a connection directly to the xp pro machine, not able to browse the network but can do a search and find the xp pc. now i want to configure a linksys BEFW11S4 wireless router to foreward request to the xp machine to accecpt incoming connections. i went thru the entire configuration (disbaling BLOCK WAN REQUEST),(enabling PORT FOREWARDING for PPTP 1723), (i even enabled the DMZ whatever that is) the connection on the win2k pc is correct because i can connect when i move the router, can this router handle that or do i need to purchase a vpn specific router.

thanks in advance
