Need help setting up VPN between Netopia router and BEFVP41 Router

So I've got a Netopia R9100 v4.8 router at work, and a Linksys BEFVP41 router at home and I'm trying to set up either a) a IPsec VPN or b) a PPTP VPN, between the two. I've tried just about everything under the sun and I still can't get them to talk. If someone could give me very explicit directions on how to get the two working together I would really appreciate it.
