Hello,

One of the databases we use is currently corrupted. Unfortunately, I'm not able to repair it because there's a virtual/residual link that exists from the last time it was used. Is there a way to remove this link without asking everyone in the department to log off their Windows? I've made a copy on my C:\ drive, repaired it and tried to overwrite the "live" database but it won't let me copy over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could reboot the computer on which the database is held overnight or when you know that nobody's using the system. That would get rid of the lock.
