you might see a disk on site, it would be in the same location as your instal disk usually.. techs usually leave them on site since we (vendors) all have copies plus we can download updates via the company internal web.. before disk certain manuals used to walk now and then.. couple of hints that will help anyone get started... connect a pc to the switch, not a dumb term.. add prcomm and then capture a complete database.. prt tnb and return.. then go to ld 20,21 and 22.. prt and keep a soft copy of everything.. anyting that programs below 20 is printed in those three loads.. anything programed above 22 is printed in the load it is built in.. you can print things above 22 as you need to change it... always print, change, print and test... put a trace key on your set.. when someone calls, you can do a trace and make a change on that phone a lot quicker and always get the right station...
go to load 117 and enter inv generate midnight.. then one a week ld 117 inv prt sets... that will list all stations and tn and type and serial number as well as any set that is programed and not in service... anything that is programed and not used needs to be gone... i hate to try and trouble shoot a bad t-1, do a stat and see 6 t-1 in red alarm because some jerk thought he might need one later...
some techs swear, never use easy change or copy, we use it over 100 times a week (three techs on site) and never have a problem, because the switch is clean.. the screen is not running err/bugs/sch codes all day.. when we see one we fix it... welcome to the forum
