need help plz 1

hey does ne 1 no how 2 draw round a pix on paintshop...ive tryed but it looks a mess plz help!!

2. Can you be a little more specific of what it is you want to draw around a picture?

3. What version of Paint Shop Pro do you have?

Again, NO. This is the second post (at least that I've read from you) where you simply can't be more *un*clear. Please post an example (an image, a link to an image) if you are unable to describe in words what you are trying to do.

Fro what i can barely understand, you want to place an outline on a picture. (see how clear that was).

1. Open the Picture
2. Go To Selection Menu, and click on Select All.
3. Go to the Selection Menu again, and click on modify, thne on contract. set a number of pixels you want the width of the outline to be. Click o.k.
4. Go to Selection menu, and click Invert Selection.
4B.(This step is optional, but is recommended for better results):
Go to the Layers Pallette and click on NEW Layer, make sure its a Raster layer, click O.K.
5. click on the Fill tool, looks like a little bucket. Then click on the color you wish the outline to be. Then with the bucket, click inside the selected outline area, to fill it in that color.


you are done, you can now save the image. with an outline of the specified color.

oh theres loads of layers aswell

From the menu at the top, it says File,Edit,View etc..
One of the Menus is called "Selections" Click on that. Then on Select ALL.

The part about layers, I just to add a new layer over the image. it does;t matter how many layers it already has, you can add a new one.

ive done every fink u told me! it changed the background color not the outline of a pic!ok ok i removed a background of a pix and wot im tryin 2 do is draw lines around it

Try this:

Image (on top line)
Add Borders...
Tick the Symmetric box
Right click on the Color box and Left click a colour
Enter number of pixels in one of the other boxes
Press OK

It's a great pity that we can't post a little 'How to' with pictures for people. Sometimes it's really difficult to get down into words exactly what you want to do or exactly how to do it without picture examples. Some people just don't have the vocabulary or the spelling powers in order to make themselves clear. This is not their fault. Tutorials with pictures are what people need I think.

I'm just wondering if what missyuk actually wants is for the actual drawing to be outlined rather than the box it's in? Similar to a cartoon. Can you tell us that Missy?

No doubt about that.

I thought it was worth offering a simple answer to one of the several possible interpretations of Missy's question. Then it might become clear what the real question is, if it's not about framing.

I chose framing because that's much easier to explain to a novice than drawing a box somewhere inside the image.

But we can only know what Missy wants if Missy makes it clear.

Click on Image (on top line)
Select Add Borders...
Tick the Symmetric box
Right click on the Color box and Left click a colour

Press OK

If that doesn't work, try this:

Hold the Ctrl key down and press P.

Take the result out of the printer.

Pick up a pencil.

Draw what you want on the paper.
