I have a cisco 2501 with 8mb of dram installed. I recently purchased a 16 mb stick and am not sure how to install it. I don't want to start tearing my router up, not knowing what I'm doing. Can someone provide me with a simple step by step procedure or a link on how to do this?

thanks

Open the router case and carefully notice the seating of the memory then remove it and insert the 16M in the same slot the same way you remove the 8M. Don't worry you'll not hurt the router, it just won't boot until the memory is seated properly. Search Cisco site and you'll find link on opening the case and inserting the memory.

Jamin,
Thankyou for kicking me in the butt to look at Cisco's huge and sometimes complicated site. I knew I could find it there from the beginning, but just really didn't want to look. I found it at

in only a matter of 1 minute. Anyways, thanks for replying to my post!
