My manager left for a week. And we have a older AS400 system with the old database but some users sometimes use it. Anyway , they came to me and said that some of them cannot print from that old AS400 database. I believe there is a Windows NT machine acting as a print server for the AS400. Don't even know the password to it yet. And it is setup to print to a network printer. I am not sure where to start and how to do it. I have access to the server and I think an Admin username and password. However I don't know how to proceed exactly. Where do I start, how do I troubleshoot and test the printing problem. Some help would be really really appreciated.

Need help, AS400 and RPM print server, I have no idea what I am doing.

Well look at the OUTQ associated with the printer, ie PRT01, etc. See if there is a message that needs to be answered. You can also, do,,, GO DEVICE, and work with the printer, to see if it is "started". It may need to be "varies off", and then "varied on". Are there any messages about the printer on the NT machine? You might try closing the print session, and then restarting it. Does the printer work thru a printer session or is it configured directky thru TCP/IP? Try any and all of these, and let us know what happens.

Thanks for your reply. But I figured it out yesterday. The print server machine (RPM) was offline, and some other changes had to be made also due to our recent windows 2003 domain restructuring. 
) Anyway it is working now however I am still working on setting up the printer so that the invoices come out properly.
However I've been getting some errors on the RPM yesterday. "Error, cannot print, not enough space on disk" , but there's plenty of space on disk. Why would that come up?
PS. I should've taken that AS400 class in college 5 years ago)
