We have a Cisco 2621 Router with 1 WIC attached to a T1. We are in the process of adding a second T1 and will load share the two for 3 meg of WAN bandwidth. I am planning on using the second slot for a second T1 WIC on the router. This will use up the three interfaces on the router. There also seems to be some type of daughtercard slot that is available. ???
Also, have a PIX506E that is our firewall and VPN Device. Right now all is well and everything works fine.
What i want to do is to see if i can attach some type of modem to my Router/PIX so that remote users can dial straight in to the VPN without having to have an ISP.
This will be for employees who do not have internet at home and who need access to our apps, for people who travel and cant get a high speed connection, and for a backup scenario for a remote location in the event that their DSL Permanant VPN connection should ever go down.
Sure, it would be simple to get some dialup access (MSN, AT&T) and hand it out to everyone but this is expensive and provides those users with total access to all things good and bad on the internet. Just to clarify that cryptic comment, we have internet content filters that prevent our users from accessing porn and so on. This was a big problem for us but with the filtering, it is no longer an issue.
Anyway, i need some type of dial-in setup. Is there maybe a daughtercard for the router???
How would i do this?
Thanks for any and all suggestions.
