I have a situation where an extension (3410) is x’d out and covering to a time of day cover path (t2) with cover path 97 between 0800 and 1800. This cover path has 4 points of coverage; (c3) with six extensions; (c8) with 8 extensions; (c100) with two extensions; and (r103) forwarded to a cell #.
I need to know if the switch (Avaya S8710) will allow an extension (1308) that is x’d out and automatically goes to cover (c25) can be included in a cover answer group within a cover path to make all phones within the cover answer group ring when assigned as an extension (1308) within the given cover path?
When 1308 is assigned as a member of cover answer group c8, the extensions associated with c25 will not ring when the point of coverage is hit. I need to find a way to make them ring without assigning the individual extensions to the cover answer group as I need to make room for some other extensions within the same cover answer group.
Can this be done successfully? If so, how?
