MS has released a lot of free ebooks lately on newer technology, especially around virtualization, but they haven't done so for the older tech like Windows 2003 and most likely won't.

You also might be interested in knowing that the MCSE certification isn't a single exam, it's 7 exams. If you haven't already started the MCSE exams I wouldn't bother, I'd just start with the Windows 2008 certifications. More details are available at:
