Ok

So I’m going to start deploying the ASA’s instead of the PIX’s for my customers. However I need some help with the versions / models.

Basically im looking for the comparison between ASA and the pix

Code:
IE:
PIX 501e 50 = ASA 5510 50U
What is the equivalent model to the PIX 501e 10U?

TIA

The 501 is like the ASA5505 (but with Vlans and more interfaces.)
There is no straight equivalent for the 506 right now (but the 5505 kind of roles both the 501 and the 506e up into one.)
The 515e is like the ASA5510 (same as above.)
The numbers just climb from there. I have deployed quite a few of the ASA's and I really like them better than the pix. Hardware is much beefier and the added interfaces and VLANs.
For the most part, other than the 50U version vs. the unlimited, you will get feature variations (VPN edition, SSL user edition, static-x edition, etc.)

Hope this helps.
