Hey Guys,

I upgraded a SV8100 to SV9100 CP20 yesterday, and the system had a UM8000. I have followed the destructions given by NEC, and it appears the UM8000 is now having issues. Initially, the UM8000 wasn't allowing access, so using the Linux Command Interface, I restored to default so that I could get access. When I went through the basic setup before restoring a database, I keep getting stuck at the License Acceptance page, with an error message advising 'Invalid license length', I have no idea why I am getting this error, I am waiting on NTAC to get back to me, but in Australia this can take considerable time, so I turn to you to see if we can get a response sooner than NEC gets back to me.

You guys on that forum should really stop posting passwords.

Re did the firmware update to the UM8000 this morning and this appears to have resolved the issues that I was having.

OK, so since the installation of this UM8000, customer is now complaining of bad call quality coming through on VM, and I have had them email me some of the audio files, and it sounds like when you put uLaw files on an NEC, the real bad static.

I have raised a fault with NTAC, and they are looking into it as they aren't sure why its doing this. But has anyone else come across static in the UM8000 VM?

@CoralTech
