In MAT (Matworx NEAX2400 IMX Suite, Version 3.5) I can login, but when I try to access any command (i.e. ACFS, ANDD, AKYD) I get an error window that says "Command is not allowed for this login configuration". I went under the Configuration (on tool bar) and got a PBX Administrator window that hag FUG of 0 and FPC of 1. I can't find those anywhere in my manuals - help! I don't know if someone dialed in and changed the access level or if that's even possible. I appreciate any advice you can give me! Thank you.

What model 2400 are you dialing into? I don't think you can communicate with the older 2400s via IMXMat.

For instance, I'm able to connect to one of my 2400ICS switches, but I get the same error message--"Command is not allowed for this login configuration".

If you're in the same situation, you'll have to get the old DOS Mat for your PBX.

I get this same error off-and-on with a brand new pbx and software install. I'll see if I can get the pbx version from the vendor...

I'm direct connecting to the switch (on site) and I think the Matworx is the one sold with the switch (switch installed 2 years ago) which the contract says is an IPX 8400 Software Pkg and Configuration Disk. It seemed to work okay until the vendor came out and put the Matworx on a different computer for us. That's why I thought maybe they changed the access level for programming.

I'd make the vendor come back out and fix it since you already paid them to move it.

Is this problem resolved? If the IO24 card was not reset when the software was moved to another terminal, you might also get this error. I would reseat the IO24 card and check the terminal again.

If the problem is resolved, do you know how it was fixed?

Hi Doug,

No, the problem isn't resolved yet. I haven't had time to get back to it.

Do I need to do anything before I reseat the IO24 card? And should I do it during a slow time? (this is a hotel) What I'm trying to get at is, is this something fairly simple or should I call the vendor back to do it? (Could I hose the entire system if I don't do it right?)

Thanks for you help, I really appreciate it!

Reseating the card SHOULD not affect anything. Just flip the toggles up, reseat the card and flip the toggles down again. Wait about 30 seconds and try the terminal again.

However, if the terminal has not worked since it was moved by the vendor, I would probably make them come back out to test and fix--the technician obviously did not test after moving the terminal. That way if anything goes awry the vendor will be responsible for it.
