I'm on step 5 of the NDS Health Check for NW 5.1 and I'm confused. I opened DSRepair, went to Advanced Options, and Check External References and all I get is "Checked 0 external references" and nothing else. Is this normal? From what I read from the Novell TID, it's supposed to show me if a replica containing the object can be located as well as obituaries, and servers in the back link lists for the obituraries.

I'm getting nothing.

Zero is a good number.. That's what you want to see. However, you might want to run it again but this time load DSREPAIR -A and then check again. It gives you a little bit more info.

Thanks, man. I ran dsrepair -a and got the same thing.

BTW, I don't know if you remember me from the other thread about the drive mapping problem. But that turned out to be a licensing problem. We purchased 5 connection licenses but never installed them (that was prior to me coming aboard). I learned that you aren't actually CONNECTED to a server unless you're actually using server resources, in our case it was the data stored on the server.
