NDR reports are sent to my mailbox so that I can forward them on to people here when their email address is typed incorrectly.

However, as the NDR reports come from the system when I click on "send again" to forward them on, the originators email address has been replaced by mine.

Is there any way I can find out the originators email address from the NDR?

Thanks...Andy.

Thanks very much for the tip, that was just what I wanted.

Donkey1 - how do you get the NDRs to forward to your mailbox? That is what I am trying to do. Thanks.

System Manager - Default SMPT Virtual Server - Messages Tab - fill in you address in the Send Copt to ...

While you are at it, disable NDR's to the internet:
System Manager - Internet Message Format - Default - properties -Advanced. Un-check all the Allow... fields.

Reason: this is what spammers can use to determine if you domain responds to random@yourdomain.com addresses. If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

Thanks for the help! I used to administrate a GroupWise system, so I am still figuring out some of the tricks on Exchange.

I see that when then NDRs are sent to the postmaster, it sends NDRs to the postmaster for outbound mail, as well as NDRs for incoming mail generated by Exchange server. Is there any way to granularize this further, i.e., to set the NDRs for outbound mail to go to the user and for inbound mail to go to the postmaster?
