I have a Netware 6 server with NDPS printers. I have the assigned the printers to different groups but when employees log in - sometimes the right printers install - sometimes not. Other times, they get additional printers that they are not assigned to.

Any suggestions, to correct this problem.

Also, I have a HP inkjet 895 that takes over 2 minutes to print since it was put in as a NDPS printer. Any solution?

Thanks,

jane

are these public accss or private access printers ?
how do you distribute the printer drivers ?
The Deskjet - is is attached to the network via a printer box ?
If you change the communication on that box to bidirectional for that port, does it change that behaviour ?

The printers are private access printers. The printer drivers are loaded when the user logins. Yes the deskjet is network through a jet direct box. It is set for bidirectional.

I did find on the HP895 when I changed the gateway to Novell instead of HP the printing speed was back to normal.
