NDMP help?????

I have a Legato Networker server 7.2 Windows and a Netapp filer. we are trying to backup the filer and I keep getting cannot contact NDMP server. All root passwords and logins are set correctly. Any sugesstions out there????

Well, what's the problem?

Start the backup from the command line
savegrp -v -l full -G groupname
and evaluate the output.
