NCP & & 74XX Series Handsets

obtsystems, I looked through the spec sheet and it didn't mention the 74XX series at all. Maybe I missed that. I will go over it again.

Basically, been away from the panasonics for a while, well the newer ones. We have alot of clients with 816s & 1232s. We are looking for options for them to upgrade to utilise SIP trunks and the NCP looks like a really nice little unit. I would suit perfectly if they could keep their 74XX handset and just upgrade the CCU as it would be minimal outlay for the client and they could move to the new handsets at their own pace.

ok you don't have programing software so you can have 4 hybrid 7700 series phones and 16 7200 or 7400 series on a ncp 1000 and leaves you with the ability for
12 loop co's . your application would be more along the lines of a tde 100/200 lets you reuse many hybrid phones and you have the ability for any flavor combo of trunking.....
If you were a legit td tda ncp dealer you would already know this info!!

I agree. We have been out of the panasonic market for a while. We were focusing on Nortel and Avaya products. While still maintaining legacy customers.
What I am trying to figure out is if we should venture back into the panasonic market fully. Through the appropriate channels of course. As I mentioned above, we have quite a few customers running older panasonic hardware and if they can upgrade just their CCUs and keep the handsets. It would suit everyone much better that a forklift upgrade of both CCUs and handsets. Most systems are sub 15 user market so your info above stating up to 16 leagacy handset would suit perfectly. Our main aim is move our customers to more up to date hardware and for them to utilise SIP trunks.

Start off by not referring to a digital or hybrid telephone
as a a handset a handset is the thing that you hold up to the side of your head !!!!! The KX-TDE 100/200/600 is basically the same as the KX-NCP but is shelf configuration that will also fit into a stand rack but you can run a load of digital or Hybrid single Telephones along with DECT telephones ip telephones and sip Telephones softphones ETC. along with sip trunking and VOIP tie lines ......
