I am trying to back up a filesystem off a celerra with NDMP using NBU 6.0 running on windows server 2003 SP1. No actual tape attached to the system. (none available) I only have disk type storage units (not NDMP nor Media Manager) Does anyone know of any way that I can back up that filesystem to a disk type storage unit with NDMP?

Unfortunately, the answer's negative. It is not possible to backup an NDMP host to a disk storage unit. The reason I think is quite clear, you already have a disk-based system, why bother backing it up to a different disk array when the NDMP host is expected to have snapshot capability and a moderate data protection capability

You can however build a virtual tape library with the Celerra and use the virtual device (Disk) as and NDMP tape drive.
