This is my first try at restoring files. On the first try I was unable to restore any files until I had the restored to their original location. This worked for three different restore jobs.

The one from today at least said "media position error."

What can I do to fix this and get these files restored?

All the files I'm attempting to restore are from the same location (as the successful restore jobs)
Thanks

These are just some .txt logfiles that I'm attempting to write back to the same directory.

Should be okay have you tried restoring to a differant location to check it is not file locking, diskspace or permisions issues?

Yes, I get the same error regardless of where I try to restore the files.

I'm a bit stumped. Can I sugest you run a verify on the image in the Catalog panel or Media Contents in reports to read from the tape and ensure it is valid.
