NAV won't clean

Its probably just the way the new viruses are written. Once they are active, its hard to terminate them. I suggest booting into safe mode to clean any infected system. Scans are usually faster, and you know the system is clean when its done. If you are running XP, don't forget to disable system restore first.

It's easy enough to manually terminate the viruses/commercials in Win2k/XP or by using SysInternals Process Explorer for Win9X machines. The antivirus should be able to do it. The Norman Antivirus our shop sells can kill them with no problems. I think it's a bug in Norton's software. That or a setting I'm missing.
