NAV install fails w2000 "problem trying to register with live update"

NAV install fails w2000 "problem trying to register with live update"

I am trying to install on Windows 2000, and it get only this far and
then it does a rollback and nothing gets installed.

1. I have disconnected from network to make sure it is not that
2. removed all previous versions in files & registry
3. stopped all services (I have installed MACLAN a server for mac -
pc networking)
4. I can FTP to liveupdate server OK
5. I have a 2 boot system with win98, and i hav nav installed on w98 before but cleaned it all up.

What can I do to install this?
