Nav Bar as Library Item

I have created a Nav Bar using the Navigation Bar Option. I saved it to the Library for use on multiple pages. Everything works great except that when I put the Object into a page, a long script shows up at the top of it. It doesn't actually display on the final page, but it makes it hard to see your page as you are working on it. I tried to disable all of the Invisible Items and it still appears. I've got to be missing something simple to hide the script.

Do you mean you see the script in the design area? Is a script part of the navigation library item? Generally I create the navigation bar on my initial page and test until I'm satisfied. Then I save it as a library item, and place my cursor where desired and use insert from the library. Arre there any steps you're skipping? Do you know if the script pertains to the library item?

If all good, you can open the library item and check there. Any thing that changes you will be asked to update the pages which use that nav bar.

It looks like the script that runs the nav bar. It shows up in the design view but not the actual view. When the library item is open all that is visible is the button images.

Save a page as a test page (that contains the mystery script). Try deleting the nav bar and script from the source code, and reinsert. Check the source code and make sure the script looks the same as the code in the library item. Maybe a tag dropped out somewhere. What version/platform of DW? Generally, if the script is showing is design view it gets a little highlight that there's a problem. And on the DW4 I used to have a problem "seeing" mystery items, that when closed and reopened or saved disappeared. Like DW couldn't keep up.

Let me know.

I'm using DW4, an it looks like that was the answer. Saved it, Closed it, Reopened and the text was gone. Thanks for your help.
