Native vs. Mixed mode

I am working on an inherited network...

There are two Exchange 2000 Servers. They are running in mixed mode. Should I be considering changing them to native mode?

We're never going to have an earlier version of Excahnge here, but since everything is working fine I'm not sure if I should bother changing anything.

What are the advantages of running in native mode, and what problems can result from switching from mixed mode?

most of the benefits come with routing groups...you can have servers from different administrative groups be members of the same routing group, and you can move servers between routing groups. So, if you've got an interest in separating administration, for whatever reason, it makes life easier. Aside from that, going native makes smtp the default protocol for all messaging.
It's absolutely no big deal at all to switch. Quick and painless....
