I have a dell poweredge 2650 and powervault 112T. I have attempted to run a backup with ArcServe 2000 and I get an error stating that the job engine timed out. So I then attempted to do a Native back up. Everytime I run the back up, it will run for between 2 - 20 minutes and then stop. Here's the data on the report that native produced:

The tape drive has been replaced, so has the scsi card, and cables. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the scsi devices as well as the tape. Has anyone witnessed this before? Does any one have any tips? Possible solutions?

Thank You

unfortunately, i'm new here and my predecessors didn't leave me much to go by. I'm going to assume that it never worked before since the president of the company is really hounding me on this.

Try booting in safe mode and then do a backup. It could be a service or program conflicting with the backup program.
It could also be the device drivers for your media. Have you tried hooking up an ide drive and using that?
