I'm looking for 1TB NAS for a graphics company. Needs to work in a mixed enviorment (OS X & 2000/XP). Should I be looking for a SCSI or SERIAL ATA NAS. About 50 people using it at once? What would you recommened? Is there a real speed difference between Serial Ata/Scsi?

Thanks!

From my understanding is that if you are going to be accessing data 24x7 (constantly) SCSI is better. If you are only going to access the data once in a while like an archive then SATA (Serial ATA) is best. This link will give you a better understanding.

yes I think SCSI or fiber is for database , we are assuming your graphic application uses file system to open, save or close the file, so its enough with SATA

SCSI and Fibre are not just for Databases. SCSI and Fibre are used for high speed disk access and for applications that are very intense.

SATA is used for data that will be archived or that is seldomly accessed.
