I have a backup of a NAS server which runs right thru to the end of the backup (backing up a whopping 1.6TB). However at the end of the job, it does not disconnect properly - reports NDMP_HALT_INTERNAL_ERROR, and renders the backup useless.

Im running 11.5 SP3 patched up to build 4403. Any ideas?

It also happens with another backup which backups a modest 350GB.

Ck the NDMP debug logs on the NAS filer, typically from what I have seen NDMP Halt Internal Errors are due to a problem at either the filer or tape drive end. After all in this setup ARCserve's role is that of a scheduler and the actual data transfer from disc to tape storage it handled by NDMP.

Hi mate,

Just been trying to get the logs sorted - im miles away from the servers unfortunately. Remote access for you!

Will let you know what I find.
