Lately i have been in need of the speech library that normally comes with windows as a part of narrator. When i couldn't find the files (or their names for that matter), i tryed to run Windows Narrator. It poped up a message:
Narrator installation error
Narrator could not find compatable speech componates, or there was an error loading the component.
So i tryed to replace these files in an atempt to fix the problem (by the way, i used a working version of narrator on a different computer):
Narrator.exe
narrhook.dll
But the same message came up.
I also noticed that the Speech icon in the control pannel is missing. Could that have anything to do with my problem? What can i do to fix the problem, or what are the files that narrator needs to run properly?
