NameTag Hunt Groups not redirecting to correct mailbox

Hi,

We have a Mitel 3300 using nametag hunt groups routing to ring groups. (We require the nametag to be present no matter where the call goes in the company, to allow staff to see a brief desc of the line the call is coming in on.) I would like multiple DDIs to share a mailbox rather than requiring a mailbox for each DDI.

I have read a few posts that suggest this is not possible, due to the name tag hunt group.

Is there a way around this issue?

Essentially, I want a department to have a mailbox and any messages left for that department (regardless of DDI) to go to that mailbox!

Hope you can help.
Thanks

If the last hop before voicemail uses another Nametag HG it will replace the earlier one and integrate with VM on the new one. All can use the same route and thus merge into one MB

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Thanks for that, it gives me some confidence that I can get this working.

At the moment DDI 1210 (NTHG) Always alternative to ring group 560 (10 seconds), 1st Alternative is 7210 which is another NTHG which has an Always Alternative to voicemail.

When the call reaches the VM it prompts the user for the extension number to leave a message for.

Am I missing something?

Iain

Just tried putting my extension into NTHG 7210 and removing the always alternative, and when the call reaches my extension it still displays 1210.

Is there perhaps a class of service option stopping this from working?

You could use a ACD path with a empty RAD, if you program a Empty RAD (Silence) and set it as first recording in ACD en then interflow after a few seconds to the VM.
Then setup a mailbox for the ACD Number it will always go to the correct mailbox.

Because the call hits a NTHG first the embedded vm will always recieve the NTHG digits no matter how many other NTHG or ACD paths you route it to, this is design intent and confirmed by Mitel support.
