I have registered my ip with the registrar of my domain, yet ehn i got to my website it will not show up unless i type the ip address in. Is this something wrong with my name server registration or could it be something else.

depends how long it was registered DNS can take at 48 hours or more to replicate around the whole system and some ISP only update on a weekly basis.

do you get any name servers listed when you do a "whois" lookup?
