Name That ELAN !

This may be a bit on the mudane side but can anyone tell me how to change the DES on an ELAN port?

This is what I have...

ELAN #: 016 DES: elan_16
ELAN #: 017 DES: ELAN_17

I want to rename them for easy ID to Symposium and CallPilot

You would precede your esisting DES with an X to remove the existing data and then pout in the new DES. For example on Elan 16 you would enter at the DES prompt xelan_16 and then it will come back to the DES prompt and you can put in your new DES. The ELAN may have to be disabled to change this though.

So this is what you would do after you log in and go to LD 17

REG =chg
Type = ADAN
ADAN = chg elan 16


Then enter all the way down DES and then do this

DES = xelan_16
DES = call_pilot


No spaces are allowed
