Hello friends,

Here is the scenario: Have a user on the phone on key 0 and a call comes in on key 1, the user needs to see the name display on key 1 to decide whether he should pick it up or ignore and have it go to vm. Any suggestions?

thanks as always

For caller id on second line enter tdd in the class of service, and that should do it.

Add a Display key to the phone. If the user is on Key 0 and a call comes in and rolls to Key 1, the user just hits Display and then Key 1 - the caller ID information for that line will be displayed.

Does TDD work? I never really understood what Tandem Digital Display meant... Thanks Nortel for the awesome information in the NTPs!

Thank you all for your imput. I changed to TDD and when a second call comes in, the number is truncated as only the last five digits of the calling party shows up and no name display.

In that case, if you have an open button, program a Display Key (xx DSP).

What type of phone is it, and how long is the name length set to in the CPND block?

It has been a while, where is th CPND block. Is it in CDB?

ld 95 prt cpnd, if the called set has cls tdd, you see the calling party name (internal) on all keys, so if you on key 0 and a 2nd call comes in, you will see the calling party name..

Also, make sure the CLS parameters DNDD and DDGA are set. We had this problem when we installed our first Meridian, and modifying these settings in the CLS on all phones fixed it.

Friends, thank you all very much for taking the time to give a hand.
