NAM issues

I have a Nam version 4.0.04c and a mics 4.1. 6 port expansion card with 4 station mods, 1 trunk mod and the voice mail. Trouble is, AA will pick up, but when extension is dialed after 4 rings the extension voice mail will not pick up, it goes back to the main menu. Also, I have 1 private line assigned to an extension, it rings on the extension 4 times and then instead of the extension mb picking up, it says " using the dial pad please enter the extension you wish to call". Mbs are initialized. If you call the extensions internally the mailboxes pick up.????
How can I get the mailboxes to pick up when a call from the outside comes in.

Make sure transfer callback (system programing) is set higher than call fwd no ans (terminals & sets)

Also check the redirect DN. For that s/w you need a floppy with that program on it. Try lowering the rings to 2 just to see if something else is causing the problem.

You need NVMMGR (Norstar Voice Mail Manager)
Then you can dial in if equipped with a modem or use the NIC Card if equipped to log into
the voice mail and change REDIRECT DN to NO
I think it is under Properites settings

Ok I gave some mis information about the software level on the ksu. It is...or was 6.1 until yesterday. I swapped the software with 4.1 and it is working perfectly. Thanks for the input guys. I dont know if there is an issue with the nam and 6.1 level sftware or what, but I have installed over 100 of these systems, just thought I might have had a brain fart.

NAM 4.0 will not work with 6.1 s/w (which you already know now) you must upgrade the NAM to 4.1 to work with 6.1 & above.
