I am having a problem in Microsoft Excel. Whenever I try to use the ‘Save As’ or ‘Open’ commands on the File menu I get the message below:

*----
‘GWXL97.xla’ could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct.

If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files on the File menu, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved, or deleted.
---*

I’ve uninstalled Microsoft Office and deleted the Microsoft Office file folder. I then reinstalled everything. I still get the message. I therefore am unable to save or open files. Can anyone offer any advice???
