5 years ago, my company owned another company called XYZ Corp. 1 year later, the company was dissloved and all their equipment was sold. Now, after all that time, we suddenly have the old XYZ domain name showing up in our Network Neighborhoods. I've checked AD and we've even checked our workstations for any sign on the name, but nothing. We try and click on it, but it errors on domain not found, but the name still shows.
Anyone have any idea on where I can look next?

TIA

have you check in wins? and have you turn on any older pc that havent been on the network for awhile that was once part of the old network at one point. do you have a remote users logging in vpn dial up

Got the WINS covered and the old pc issue covered as all of our machines have been rebuilt several times since then. But, I missed the vpn/dial-up possibility. Some people who came from that company stillwork for us and could be using their home pc's which might have somethign on them. We'll check that.
Thanks!
