I just installed MySQL 4.0 under W2K,and then installed MySQL Administrator and I get an error that says:

The dynamic link library MSVCR70.dll could not be found in the specified path <then it gives the path name>

I have tried to uninstall and re-install but I get the same error. The service is running fine. I have noticed that Open Office uses a dll with the same name. There is no dll with the above name in any of the paths listed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

- Zych

You could copy MSVCR70.DLL from the OpenOffice.org directory to c:\winnt\system32 (or whatever path it expects), then try the installation again.

Thanks, I feel pretty stupid. I thought of that the evening I posted this. It now comes up. Thanks for the reply.
