HI

I would like to know if it possible to have a field type in a mySQL database that is capable of storing text that can have a some bold/italic and underlined parts.

I used a text type field but it just saves it normally.(no bold/italics/underlining of text). Can anyone help me?/

thanx

How are you displaying the data? This is really a question for whatever tool you use to format and display the data, rather than a MySQL question.

Also how are you storing data.

insert into somefield &quot;<b> stuff<i> and more</i></b>&quot; may behave oddly depending on how you have magic quotes set and whether you are escaping special characters or not.
insert into somefield '<b> stuff<i> and more</i></b>' will behave differently.

also doing both of these from the command line may well have even more strange effects.
