My word macros become unselected

I am working on Word 2002 and when I open up the app. the macros do not appear. I can go to tools\templates and add-ins and see that the macros are infact there, but they re no longer selected. How do I stop that?

Did you store the macros in the Normal.dot file when you created them?

No. These are .dot files that are outside of normal.dot. They are located in a differnt folder than normal.
In the tools\templates and add-ins we have the following .dot files

LoadTCCIdot.dot
TCCI.dot
WinXP.dot

The problem is that the TCCI and WinXP are becoming unselected. I am not having problems with Normal.

They are unselected because Word loads them for the current session only. To have them always loaded, they must be loaded via Start Up folder - see Word Help re: loading and unloading global templates.
