My Windows 98 computer cannot see my workgroup

Hi, I just added a W98 computer to my workgroup. Only when I install netbeui on this W98 computer I am able to see the Workgroup icon but when double clicking on it, it's empty. My other network computers W2000 and WXP can see each other but can't see the W98. No firewall installed.

Suggestions please.

I must add that I reinstalled TCP/IP. Also this computer is wired to the router and will not connect to the Internet and will not access my router through 192.168.2.1. This computer was working two days ago. The NIC was replaced with a new one. It sees itself in network neighborhood.
