My VPN works but I can't browse my LAN.

Question : My Cisco router automatically assign an IP 172.21.XXX.XXX to my client but my local network range is 192.168.XXX.XXX --> is this the problem??

My WINS-server also has 192.168.XXX.XXX

I can ping my WINS-server and my WIN2000 Server on the HQ with no errors or lost packets and I can map a drive using NET USE s: \\server\d .

With this mapping I can see all the folders on my server\d: but in windows explorer I can't browse through my network so I'm not able to see the other client nore the server.

Also very strange is the fact that I can't ping my client from the HQ with WIN2000 server.

My client is win2000 professional.

Well, it looks like WINS is not working for those remote clients. Your clients (in your configuration) should be configured to use WINS.
Also, be sure that your DNS name resolution is functioning properly.
But, anyway,... that I didn't understand in this forum, why nobody is sayig what kind of VPN they have? (protocol, method).
