I'm a beginner and Ive designed a website for our sports team. its based on a template and the template has an image running across the top. I preview in browser and all is fine.

Then when I upload it to the web the template is fine except the image doesnt show. theres nothing there at all. Then I tried editing my template and uploaded the new version but the old version was still there. I've tried all sorts but cant do it.

Any ideas on what im doing wrong, ive been messing around with this for 6 hours now.

make sure that your template has a relative reference to the image not an absolute one...
something like

instead of

if that is already solved go to the page on your website and just refresh the page hitting F5 a couple of times try Shift+F5 also, that "Makes" the browser get a new version from the server instead of the cache.

Thanks for your reply. i've tried both these methods but to no avail. I tested it by changing some text on my template but then when i upload the new template the old one is still there.

All the pages and images are there...........its the template that im having the problem with.

I have now redesigned ther template and created all the pagfes again but its still not having it. Canb i post a link here just to show what the problem is.

Yes go ahead with a link, have you uploaded the images as well as the template?

Ctrl F5 will load the latest version of a page in IE or try deleting all of your cache.

Ok.........Its actually decided to work now. I just deleted my cache then deleted the whole lot from my web server then re uploaded it.

Thanks for your help both of you.
