My hard disk and dvd Recognized as scsi

hi
i have the gigabyte 7dxr motherboard, ibm 7200 hard disk, and thosiba dvd, in the bios the hard disk and dvd are Recognized in ide1 and ide2, but in win2k he they are Recognized as scsi drives (they are not scsi) ,whay
and how do i fix it (trying to update drivers doesn't work)

Are you sure its not a SCSI DVD player? The internal cables look similar. Try to swap your second IDE hard drive IDE connection with the DVD player. (you will have to quickly change the jumper of the both devices ...hard drive to master and DvD to slave.) Joseph L. Poandl

What service pack is installed? Also, are the latest MB drivers installed? And are the drives on the RAID controller or the Regular ATA100 controller? James Collins
