my graph attributes are formattable but for some reason axis font size will not budge!
when i remove the line of code that disables screen updating everything runs as desired (font attributes can be manipulated)

whats up with that yo!!!
any ideas? thanks

Hi,

have you set the AutoScale property for the axis to TRUE?

no but my preference is to specify the font size, not to have the application define that size for me

Then I don't understand your original question.

What do you want to do that you cannot do?

alll that i want to do is have this code execute properly
' Cash Flow Axis Format
With ActiveChart.Axes(xlValue)
.TickLabels.NumberFormat = "#,##0_);(#,##0)"
.TickLabels.Font.Size = 9.5
.TickLabels.Font.Bold = True
End With

for some reason it does not work when screenupdating = false is executed

when i eliminate that line of code it does work, but i do not see how the two are related and why this causal relationship exists

I cannot replicate your situation.

Please post the entire code for this procedure; not just the snippet.
