How can I change "My Documents" redirection back to local? I have some system that moved from one domain to another and I want to put it back to local. They are no longer connected to the server that had this policy. I am sure this is just a registry change or something.

Thanks,

Zych

Hi Zych,

Open windows explorer and have a look in the Tools->Synchronisation menu.

You can disable redirection there by unticking (unchecking) the folders in question.

Make sure you click the setup/advanced button to make sure upi untick those boxes too.

It is not an elegant solution, and there is perhaps a better one but this is the process I have used in the past.

Thanks.

Thanks for the tip but thats not what I needed. What is happening is that the My Documents is being redirected. So if you hit the start button then click on My Documents, you get an error messaging saying you can not connect to the \\servername\user\username. I need to have this shortcut point back to the My Documents on the local machine.

I have stopped the synchronization and put all of her files back in her My Documents folder. She just can not get to them via the shortcut.
