My Documents folder redirection help

I currently have all domain accounts set in group policy to redirect their respective My Documents folder to one network share - ex. \\server\share\%username%. My problem is that some users are at a remote location so retrieving their documents can be slow over the WAN link.

How can I change the redirection setting so that the My Documents folders of only the remote accounts will move to a server share at the remote location?

Should I set up new global security groups per location and use the Advanced setting in the redirection properties to direct each group to their respective network share?

Thanks for all input!

Create an OU for the remote users.
Create security group for remotes users.
Move remotes users to OU.
Make remote users member of new security group.
Create GPO for OU.
In GPO User Configuration/Windows Settings/Folder Redirection access properties for My Documents. Here you set the path for My Documents and link it to a specific security group.

Link new GPO to OU.

Wait for 1-2 hours for policy to take effect or force update.
