Can anyone offer any explanation as to what would cause the my documents folder to change locations from a users c: drive to his network 'home' drive.

Thanks..

Could someone have "Cut and Pasted" the folder?

Are you trying to use roaming profiles? If so your My Documents follows you where ever the user logs on. It moves it to the 'Home Drive' so it is capable of roaming with the user.

Experienced user or novice user?

Maybe someone (or the user) clicked on the folder on the desktop, chose properties, and clicked the Move Folder button.

Sorry, I'm on XP, but it's similar.

Thanks for responses guys,

We use roaming profiles in our organisation, I can understand the 'My documents' folder residing in the profile directory but why would the folder on the c: drive be removed, could this be affected by the roaming profile?
