My computer Keeps on restarting

Please I have run out of Ideas...my computer keeps on restarting without warning...It happens at any time...there is no certian action that is causing this to happen.

All drivers are updated
Downloaded everything from Windows Update
Plenty of hard drive space
256MB 2100DDR RAM
AMD Athlon XP 1900+
Asus A7V333 MOBO
Nvidia Geforce4 64MB Graphics Card
and of course Win2K

Hi! I just had this problem on a Gateway. What happened was that the actual on/off switch on the front of the case had loosened. Not the plastic push switch, but the wires that were soldered to the back of the actual switch. Resoldered and all went well. Check the CMOS battery while your at it, as well as the voltage coming out of the power supply if you have a multi-meter. There is a real neat tool at

. It is an ATX power supply tester that you just plug into the 20pin plug on the supply. Neat stuff. Hope this helps.

Do you have Easy CD Creator? I know that in 4.0 there is an issue that won't allow you to shut down your computer in Win2k. It would either reboot instead, or shut down windows and not shut off the power supply. To solve this problem, you will need to download the lastest update. I know the problem is not the same, but maybe they are related somehow.

also...during game play the game will just shut off without any error messages.

Parallon...no I don't have Easy CD Creator. Instead I have Nero.
