Is your FYP server setup correctly at 10.0.0.10?

Yes it is but when i try and browse to the ftp.10.0.0.10 i would expect to see the mcd 6.0 sw but i just get the page cannot be displayed.

try it from a dos prompt

If you can't see it, the phone system sure can't

make sure the root directory of user 'ftp' is where the software is.

What FTP Server are you using? Can you look at the logs to see if there is a connection being made.

Think everyone is pointing you in the right direction i.e its your FTP server that can't be seen from the controller. Where are you doing an upgrade from? Attached to the controller or somewhere in the network? As others have pointed out you need to define the home directry for the FTP server and put the software there. Test from the command prompt to yourself and make sure your user name and password work for the FTP access. Temp turn off any firewalls or create an exception.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Anyone else and you need to throw it harder.
