Hi, I am using sbs 2003 and recently had to change the ISP side static ip. Now my mails are being sent to but are unable to be received on the exchange server. I am running only one server in the domain. Could someone please tell me how to rectify this problem? Which records do I have to change and how? Many thanks in advance!

Regards,
Zotigo

You have to change the A record that the MX record is mapped to.

So, if your old IP address was say 11.22.33.44 you would have something like;

yourdomain.com IN MX mail.yourdomain.com.
mail.yourdomain.com IN A 11.22.33.44

So, if your static IP has now changed to 11.22.33.55 then you would alter the A record for mail.yourdomain.com to the new IP address.

mail.yourdomain.com IN A 11.22.33.55

Chris.
