We have this setup:

Admin Set 1
Key 0 scr 6000
Key 1 scr 6001

Admin Set 2
Key 0 scr 6002
Key 1 scr 6003
Key 2 scr 6000
Key 3 scr 6001

6000 and 6001 share the same mailbox
6002 and 6003 share the same mailbox

When we call 6000 from a set, the MWL comes on fine when a new voicemail is left. When we call 6001, for some reason the MWL does not come on when a new voicemail is left. The thing is once we remove 6000 and 6001 off Set 2, the light works fine when calling the secondary DN on Set 1. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I just did more testing, I found that if only 6001 is removed off Admin Set 2, the MWL will work fine. What affect could having 6001 programmed on the 2 sets have on the MWL?

I think your last hunt key is set to LHK 2. Try setting this to LHK 2. See if this works.

If the mailbox number isnot on key 0 and it appears on more then one set the MWI will not work correctly. What is your current software release for the PBX?

We are on rls 4.0. The mailbox is on Key 0, we have 2 DNs sharing the same mailbox ID. We are going to try to program them as MCR instead of SCR, maybe this might work?

Use KEY AA XMWK XXXX YYYY XXXX=Mail dn, YYYY=extension to monitor. Extension needs to appear on set where XMWK, extended MWK key, is programmed.

We also tried the MIK/MCK keys to see if 6001 could be lit. If it is on more than 1 set and not a primary DN, the MWL will not function properly. We could not even turn it on with the MIK key.

didn't follow your complete post, two things to mention. use a xmwk key to light lamps on keys other then key 0, works every time, you can have a lamp for each line on a set if you want, no xmwk for dn's not on your phone.. the line must marp for a mwk key, not true for a xmwk.. i usually use a secondary dn for numbers like 6001, but if 6000 has a mb, the mwk will light for 6000, if 6001 has a mb, a xmwk will solve that riddle

KEY AA XMWK XXXX YYYY XXXX=Mail dn, YYYY=extension to monitor. Does it matter what key is programmed for the XMWK? Mail DN in this case is 6000? and the extension to monitor is 6001? And the XMWK key would be programmed on the 6000 admin set?
Thanks for all your help
